Dirt Corps, Trek And Gregg's
Here at Gregg's we're always looking to partner up with great organizations that are good spokespeople fo the sport of cycling and give back to the sport. We've found just such an organization to partner with in the Dirt Corps. The Dirt Corps (pronounced Dirt Core) was founded in 2005 by five avid mountain bike riders to promote the sport as it evolves. Through progressive trail building, advocacy, and training the next generation of riders, the Dirt Corps mission is to seek out new opportunities for the sport and recreation of mountain biking for all age and skill levels. We're excited to be involved with this group and looking foward to the partnership. Stay tuned for more! Read more at www.dirtcorps.com

Bellevue Cycle a Finalist in BusinessWeek/Architectural Record Awards

Each year the Business Week and Architectural Record get together to give an award to great new architecture in the business world. The 2009 awards were recently given and Gregg's Bellevue Cycle was one of 12 buildings(out of nearly 100 submissions)to make the finals.
Gregg's Cycle has been in business since 1932 and part of the downtown Bellevue landscape since 1983 and is currently the largest bike shop on the Eastside.
"Locals have reacted with enthusiasm to the new structure—sales were up 14 percent compared to the store’s prior home (in a leased space a few blocks away), and it was the most profitable location for Gregg’s Cycles in 2008. In all, Weinstein took a set of modest requirements and created a notable asset for both the company and the community."
We're pretty excited about the award and proud to have added to the interest in Downtown Bellevue with this national award.
